There is always a line in front of this place but is well worth the wait. I was in line for about 15 minutes before I can order. For 2 people, we tried the 4 samplers, and all of them taster very good. I especially like the smoked salmon chowder and the Manhattan chowder, which feels lighter than the usual chowder, which is on the creamier side. The tomato in the chowder makes the soup tastier and I don't feel so heavy after the meal. Also, they always come with the crackers, but you can always upgrade it to the bread bowl. Seating is very limited, so we were sitting outside. You will be seated once you ordered, you cannot receive seat beforehand. Overall great experience and will definitely come back for more chowder!

Wow love their chowder here! This is now my fave clam chowder specially New England clam chowder place! Their chowder is very balanced with potatoes and bacon mmmm! Gotta get their chowder in bread bowl because it's so good! Portion size is good enough to share with a friend. Perfect to eat on a chilly day!

I love that there is a sampler that allows me to try a bunch of different flavors. I ended up trying seared scallop, halibut asparagus, smoked salmon, and coconut lime. I didn't know that coconut lime was vegetarian (vegan?) until I ordered it. It used mushrooms instead of clams and still had good flavor. The salmon and halibut chowders are good, by the scallop chowder was the best.

Staff was friendly! Line was long! It was so nice they had people making sure people weren't seating at tables a long time or without having their food. The captains roll was a favorite. The seafood bisque was good but definitely a 2nd to the roll. Their bread was AMAZING, both the roll and the side of bread served with the soup.

I love clam chowder soup and my fav is Boston's. I had to try the (west) Pike Place Chowder which is rank as one of the best in the country to compare and see which one is really THE best. My friend and I got there a few minutes after opening and there was already a long line. A worker told us that we could order online and "skip the line'", so we did! I scanned the QR code and order. I knew from the reviews I had read that inside the restaurant is a small space and hard to get seats and we didn't mind standing out. We just really wanted to try the soup haha... The pick up area is inside, on the back of that same building, very easy to find. In less than 10 min we had the soups in our hands! I order the traditional New England clam chowder and my friend ordered the seafood bisque. I'm not exaggerating when I say is one of the best soups I ever had. So creamy and tasty! Loaded with clams and potatoes. My friend soup is was equally delicious. Conclusion, Im sorry for the east coast but in my opinion the west coast might have THE BEST clam chowder soup!!!!

It was my first time at Pike Place Chowder, and it did not disappoint! As a big fan of New England Clam Chowder, I found it tough to pick just one with so many options, so I went for the sampler to try all the popular ones. The service was quick and organized, but the lack of seating made it a bit tricky to fully enjoy the chowders. For my sampler, I got the New England Clam Chowder, Clam & Oyster Chowder, Seared Scallop Chowder, and Seafood Bisque. Hands down, the New England Clam Chowder was the best--creamy, hearty, and full of flavor. The Seafood Bisque came in a close second. Next time I'm in Seattle, I'll be sticking with the New England Clam Chowder for sure!

I have heard stories of having longlines to get their chow chowder. We went at 5:30pm, probably 30 mins before they closed and there were no lines. I'm so glad we went at the time, and we got to try it. It was delicious. Lots of clams and not too thick which we like. Not salty with perfect seasoning. $13 for a large is expensive but worth a try.

Stay away from the seafood in the pier. Tourist trap and very mediocre. Come here for a solid west coast lobster roll, and the chowder. Fresh ingredients. Friendly service. Don't sit at the Italian shop behind , the owner is a Guido and will come out and yell at you lol
